Privacy notice

Your privacy matters to us. This notice explains what information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Last reviewed: June 2026. Booking is handled by Fresha and website analytics by Google Analytics 4. [before launch: confirm retention periods and the email/SMTP provider, then update this date]

Who we are

Isle View Spa ("we", "us") is the data controller for the information described here.

For anything about your privacy, contact us using the details above.

The information we collect

  • When you enquire: if you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message.
  • When you book a treatment: you book online on Fresha, our booking provider, on Fresha's own website and under Fresha's privacy notice. Fresha then passes us the appointment details, such as your name, contact details and the treatment you want. We hold and use those details to arrange and provide your treatment, and we remain responsible for the appointment information we hold, under this notice.
  • Health information: so we can treat you safely, we may ask about relevant health matters, for example pregnancy or conditions that affect which treatments suit you. This is "special category" data and we only use it to give you safe, suitable care, with your explicit consent.
  • When you visit this website: with your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in our cookie banner.

We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange your treatment. Lawful basis: to take steps at your request and to provide the service you ask for.
  • To keep you safe during treatment. Lawful basis: your explicit consent for health information.
  • To run and improve the website. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in a working, useful site, or your consent where required for analytics.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the suppliers that help us run the spa, and only as needed:

  • Fresha, our booking provider. Online bookings are made on Fresha's website, and Fresha passes us the appointment details so we can arrange your treatment.
  • Google Analytics, for anonymous website usage statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Our email provider [confirm: e.g. the mailbox / SMTP provider used for the contact form].

Some of these suppliers (including Google and Fresha) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they are required by agreements with us to protect it to UK standards, and we do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it, then delete it securely. [confirm retention periods, e.g. enquiries for 12 months, treatment records for the period required for insurance and health reasons]

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • see the information we hold about you,
  • correct anything that is wrong,
  • delete it, or limit how we use it,
  • object to how we use it, or ask us to move it elsewhere.

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above. If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
